The brutal lynching of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh is tragic; no one deserves mob justice. But he was a Bangladeshi citizen, not Indian. So why are streets in India burning with protests just because the victim was Hindu?

If we’re honest, our real concern should be the rising anti-India hatred in Bangladesh: the toxic narratives, attacks on our embassy, and growing hostility toward Indians. That’s a direct threat to our nation. We should retaliate and protest against that, not every tragedy involving a Hindu abroad.

Because if we’re protesting purely out of religious solidarity, let’s ask the tough questions:

Why didn’t the same right-wing voices, the defenders of Hinduism, take to the streets when thousands in Gaza were killed? Where was the outrage, the candles, the solidarity for innocent lives lost there?

And flip it: Where is the left-wing or Muslim community’s sympathy and protests for this Hindu man lynched on false blasphemy charges? I haven’t seen a single major demonstration or widespread condemnation from them.

This isn’t about whataboutery. It’s about exposing the hypocrisy on all sides.

We criticize one group for selective outrage (Gaza yes, local issues no), but do the exact same in reverse.

So the bigger question to our society: Are we truly humane, standing against heinous crimes wherever they happen, regardless of religion or border?

Or are we just tribal, only activated when it suits our narrative, our politics, our agenda?

If it’s the latter, that’s not humanity. That’s sad. And dangerous.

Time for self-reflection. 🇮🇳

Social media pushing the narrative that a section only supported Javed shaab only because he’s anti-Islam. That’s bullshit .

Most viewers from that section watched with an open mind, evaluated the arguments properly, and that’s why many openly disagreed with JavedJi as well. We could see both demographics there.

But look at the other side. Absolute silence. No one questioned Mufti sahab in the Q&A, live chat, or even later on social media.
That silence itself says a lot about how deeply conditioned they are and how little room there is to question their own beliefs.

N this stubbornness defies the purpose of such debates, as the sole purpose of such debates is to seek knowledge and to listen to an opinion with different ideology which is opposite of your own.

PS: I believe that mufti shaab had an edge over javed shaab in this debate for sure
