The complete dossier on Andy Duong, the bribes he helped deliver, the promises Thao made and kept for him, and every document that will be used against her at the October trial is now at https://t.co/fy9vq9Wsqx. We are tracking every development in real time.
Andy Duong is the man who helped bankroll Sheng Thao into the mayor’s office and then bought her once she got there.
Through his family’s company Evolutionary Homes he funneled ninety five thousand dollars to Thao’s partner Andre Jones as a no show job. The money was used to pay Thao’s rent so she could keep it off her disclosure forms. In exchange Thao promised to steer city contracts directly to Duong’s new modular housing company. She agreed to declare emergencies to bypass normal bidding rules and commit Oakland to buying his retrofitted shipping container homes supposedly to solve homelessness.
She delivered. Shortly after taking office Thao had members of her mayoral staff tour the Evolutionary Homes facility. She used her executive power to advance the very interests that had paid her.
Now Andy Duong faces his own federal charges including making false statements to investigators. The evidence against the entire operation is already overwhelming. Financial records. Intercepted communications. The text from Andy himself declaring that money buys everything. And the detailed letter from his own former business partner Mario Juarez that triggered the FBI raids after Juarez had a violent falling out with the Duongs and walked the entire scheme straight to the Attorney General.
Andy Duong has every reason to cut a deal and bury the former mayor who sold him the keys to City Hall. His family may have resources but he personally is charged with lying to federal agents. Cooperation is the clearest path to limiting his own exposure.
Sheng Thao did not just take the money. She turned the mayor’s office into a service provider for the Duong family’s business interests while Oakland suffered record crime spikes, a leaderless police department, and the loss of a fifteen point six million dollar grant that could have actually helped the city.
Every fact above is documented in IRS Form 990s, campaign finance records, city attorney legal opinions, FBI files, and legislative history.

Mia Bonta’s 2021 Assembly campaign was bankrolled by straw donors tied to “Music Cafe,” an Oakland karaoke bar raided by state authorities for ketamine and ecstasy distribution, prostitution, and human trafficking.
Just months later, she abstained on a bipartisan bill making the commercial sexual exploitation of CHILDREN a serious felony under California’s Three Strikes law. She only reversed course after nationwide outrage forced her hand.
This is the same Mia Bonta who ran Oakland Promise without a valid 501(c)(3) determination. The Oakland City Attorney formally stated the organization “has not been a non-profit.” She filed IRS Form 990s using a duplicate EIN from another charity, creating conflicting tax returns for the same year. While operating this allegedly fraudulent structure, she collected base salaries of $160,625, $147,000, and $128,125 in different reporting periods.
Her husband, Attorney General Rob Bonta, aggressively “behested” hundreds of thousands from corporate lobbyists directly into the nonprofits paying her six figures — including a $25,000 transfer from his own foundation that he initially tried to disguise as a loan on tax filings.
When she ran for office, her official campaign headquarters was located at 1241 High Street in Oakland — the exact former address of Viridis Fuels, the failed biofuel company her husband secured a $3.4 million state grant for on behalf of political operative Mario Juarez, a key player in the same Duong crime network now under federal indictment.
Now Bonta has authored AB 2624 — already being called the “Stop Nick Shirley Act” by critics. The bill attempts to criminalize journalists and citizens who document misconduct by taxpayer-funded nonprofits and government contractors. It would let the exact type of opaque organizations she once led demand the removal of public videos and impose massive financial penalties on anyone exposing fraud.
Mia Bonta is not a reformer. She is a product of the machine who used the nonprofit sector as a personal wealth vehicle, took money from trafficking-adjacent fronts, refused to punish child sex traffickers, and is now trying to pass laws to silence the journalists who document it all.

Congressman Ro Khanna should resign.
While serving in Congress, his household ranked as the 3rd most active stock trading operation in the entire United States Congress in 2025. They executed over 4,000 trades worth $55,700,000. This level of aggressive, high-volume trading by a sitting member’s household is not normal. It raises serious questions about access to non-public information and conflicts of interest that most members of Congress would be terrified to have exposed.
He lied to anti-war activists and progressive organizations. He publicly claimed his household was divesting from defense contractors. Then he kept buying them anyway. This included Honeywell, which manufactures critical components for America’s nuclear stockpile, General Dynamics, and Leidos — companies deeply involved in hypersonic weapons and the MOAB. These trades continued long after he told the public his family was getting out of the sector.
At the same time, Khanna used his position in Congress to aggressively lobby for a special waiver that allowed India to purchase advanced Russian S-400 missile systems. This move sent BILLIONS of dollars directly into Russia’s military-industrial complex at the height of the war in Ukraine. He delivered a major financial victory for Moscow while continuing to present himself as a progressive voice against foreign aggression.
He has repeatedly claimed to reject corporate PACs and special interest money while his campaigns were bankrolled by tech bundlers from Silicon Valley. After cashing in on their support for years, he turned around and pushed a destructive 5% wealth tax that drove an estimated $1,000,000,000,000 in wealth out of California as those same people and companies fled the state to escape his tax. This reckless, self-serving decision has permanently crippled California’s economy by gutting its tax base and long-term growth.
His original rise to Congress was built on a campaign that was sued for stealing donor data from a sitting Democratic incumbent. And the stock trading restrictions he championed deliberately left his wife’s trading untouched, shielding the very household wealth that has funded his aggressive trading activity.
This is not the record of a reformer fighting the system. This is the record of a politician who has used his office to protect and grow his family’s financial interests while lying to the public about where he stands. Ro Khanna has traded on his position, lobbied for Russia’s benefit, accepted the benefits of special interest money while pretending to reject it, and operated with a level of elite impunity that most Americans would find outrageous.
This is not leadership. This is corruption.

Follow if you’re done watching politicians use nonprofits as personal ATMs the second they win power. Repost this.
Carroll Fife’s nonprofit exploded the second she won office.
Affect Real Change (ARC) — the 501(c)(3) she ran as President — went from roughly $100,000 in annual revenue before her 2020 election to $3,110,000 in 2021. That’s a 30x jump in one year, right as she took her seat on the Oakland City Council!
Net assets ballooned to nearly $3,000,000. Expenses hit $2,820,000. This wasn’t organic growth. The timing lines up too perfectly with her new political power.
Even worse, the books are a mess.
Over $2,480,000 in spending was buried under vague, catch-all descriptions with almost no detail. Nearly $1,900,00 was listed as “Provide food, PPE, support, uplifting festivals and events for the community during the pandemic” — no vendor breakdowns, no receipts, just a giant slush fund.
Then there’s the $336,951 line item for “Worked with other community organizations to improve the relationship between the police and community members.”
The same woman who was one of the loudest voices for defunding the Oakland Police Department somehow funneled hundreds of thousands into “improving police relations” on federal tax forms. That money didn’t go to community policing. It went straight into the same anti-police activist ecosystem she was actively starving of public funds.
This is what happens when an activist gets elected. Her nonprofit didn’t grow because it suddenly became more effective. It grew because her new title became a magnet for progressive money that would have been blocked by normal campaign finance rules.
She turned public office into a fundraising machine for her network.
@RecallFife “The same woman who was one of the loudest voices for defunding the Oakland Police Department somehow funneled hundreds of thousands into “improving police relations” on federal tax forms.” Wtf 😂

Read it.
California Attorney General Rob Bonta has spent nearly $500,000 of campaign funds on private lawyers to navigate an active FBI public corruption investigation tied directly to his major donors.
Those donors — the Duong crime family of California Waste Solutions — are now federally indicted alongside former Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao on charges of bribery, conspiracy, mail and wire fraud. Bonta accepted over $155,000 from them and their associates over the years. When the raids hit in June 2024, he returned the money “out of an abundance of caution.” His campaign then burned through $469,000 on one of the most expensive law firms in the state.
In May 2024, disgraced political operative Mario Juarez sent Bonta a letter warning him that Andy Duong possessed a “compromising video” of the Attorney General and had a pattern of secretly recording elected officials for blackmail. Bonta’s campaign spent hundreds of thousands more in legal fees after that letter surfaced.
This is the same Rob Bonta who, as an Assemblymember, personally intervened to secure a $3.4 million state grant for Viridis Fuels — a failed biofuel company run by donor Mario Juarez, a man with tax liens, a surrendered real estate license, and a history of stiffing business partners. That same address later became his wife’s 2021 campaign headquarters.
Bonta built a sophisticated pipeline that directed over $517,000 in corporate behested payments and direct campaign funds into nonprofits that employed and paid his wife six-figure salaries. He created his own foundation, took behested money from lobbyists into it, then moved $25,000 to his wife’s organization while initially trying to hide the transfer as a “loan” on tax filings.
While positioning himself as a national leader on data privacy and suing companies for far smaller violations, his Department of Justice leaked the full personal data of more than 240,000 Californians who held concealed carry permits — names, home addresses, dates of birth, and license numbers — in what an independent review called a catastrophic institutional failure. The breach happened days after the Supreme Court’s Bruen decision, at a time when Bonta was publicly furious about the ruling.
He has used the Attorney General’s office to manipulate ballot language against tough-on-crime measures that later passed with nearly 70% of the vote, lost a 6-3 Supreme Court case for violating First Amendment donor privacy rights, and allowed foreign-linked money to influence high-profile litigation he then personally championed for political gain.
Rob Bonta is not the people’s lawyer. He is a compromised operator who has used the most powerful law enforcement position in America’s largest state to protect his donor network, enrich his family, and shield himself from accountability.
Jackie Fielder tried to ban research labs in the Mission and got completely humiliated.
In December 2025 she pushed an 18-month freeze on new labs by forcing every one through a subjective “conditional use” process that would have given her unilateral power to block companies. She claimed she was protecting blue-collar PDR jobs from AI and life sciences firms “destroying” the neighborhood. She called opponents “entitled techno absolutists” and “techno fascists.”
The tech and investment world exploded. GrowSF and others slammed it as “technofascist” and a direct threat to San Francisco’s economic recovery. The backlash was so intense that Bilal Mahmood and the Mayor’s office gutted the bill. It ended up applying only to “outdoor” labs — which don’t exist in the Mission. Every indoor lab was carved out. The whole thing became a total nothingburger.
She waged an ideological war against the city’s most important job-creating sector, lost spectacularly, and proved she can’t build coalitions or deliver for working people. This is what happens when academic theory meets real governance.
Jackie Fielder is hostile to jobs, hostile to growth, and hostile to the future of her own district.
She must resign.
