Why do I love Poppy Playtime and Mob Entertainment so much? I’ll explain.

I’ve known Mob ever since their Minecraft videos. Knew Zamination as well and watched both of their videos. When chapter 1 released, I really felt like there was something special to it. It just has this artistic direction that really stood out and felt unique to me. The huggy chase especially was magical to me. I remember my first time finding Poppy Playtime through an edit of the Huggy chase just days after the chapter’s release.

Chapter 2 was special. I woke up early the morning of the gameplay trailer‘s release just to watch that trailer right when it would drop. Right after, I immediately got a piece of paper and drew Mommy Long Legs just to try and be the first fan to draw her.

Project: Playtime was real special to me as well because I remember it was around thanksgiving time for me. I remember watching the cinematic trailer as well and being amazed by Boxy’s reveal which I found mind blowing.

Chapter 3 has a real special place in my heart. Not because I find it the best chapter (that’s chapter 5 for me), but because it helped me through a pretty rough time.

Chapter 4 felt special because I felt like Doey was a character I could relate to. Someone who cares for everyone else and has just so much empathy to those around them. I feel like he was the only character I really shed a few tears at after he died.

Chapter 5 also felt really special. Giblet was also a character I felt I could relate to in so many ways. Seeing purpose in everything.

“Everything’s a tragedy until it’s meant to be.”

Right when he said that I was like “Yes!! That’s exactly how I feel about things at times!”

Aside from the chapters, Mob themselves have really been important to me. They’re like the sole reason why I got interested in game development, writing, and animation. Now I want to pursue those fields in my future career. Perhaps even join Mob? That would be years away from happening I’m sure of it but they’ve shaped who I am.

It isn’t even just Mob’s existence as well. The developers there. Interacting with them is just something special because it really feels special knowing you’re actually talking to some of the people who work on what changed your life for the better.

Now, I continue to find and share any information I can find with the community through Mascot Massacre which I’m on the team of. I’m here to share and bring more of those good feelings Poppy Playtime as a whole has brought me. I want to repay Mob in any way possible whether it be through building hype, being a potential voice actor in any way, or something else.

Don’t think I’d be who I am now without Poppy Playtime or Mob Entertainment.

@joeychameleon @Sheeprampage @1006sbiggestfan Idk kinda like what I just said lol. Style consistency. They likely went with this colorful aesthetic for some reason whether that be to make the locations look visually more appealing, a lore reason, or just a new style Mob wanted to try out in general. :b

@LauMa7193833460 Yes but my claim is that this is the most trustable of the reviews. Basically all the others don’t have any evidence to back them up. Both the good and bad don’t have much evidence to confirm they were actually from someone to Mob. The most we can do is connect the dots.

Adding on to this dude… out of all the Glassdoor reviews, I feel like this is the most trustable. Close to how he writes things, has the same role he has at Mob, date accurate to the time he joined Mob, etc…

And this review was only a year ago in April... imagine how much Mob’s probably improved now :)

I’ve seen some people wondering where some info from some Mascot Massacre posts came from (specifically stuff about the pixel art PPT game and development of an unannounced sci-fi game) and well.. it came from me (I’m on the Mascot Massacre team)! I saw one of @ItsLightnings recent videos and he said he didn’t know where the info came from (he saw a photo source provided by MM though) and i’ve decided to share it cause I think ya’ll deserve it lol. MM won’t really need it anymore so here ya go!

@sasasasaassada @bombarding92681 Glassdoor isn’t really a reliable source though. Multiple reviews can be disproven as they contradict what has been said before.

Some can be real, some can’t. Kinda hard to really trust Glassdoor entirely. :b
