This is part of a larger ZETA project, and I don't think it will be my last one. I really enjoy exploring colors and light through miniature painting.
I usually use a Rosemary & Co Series 33, size 2 — a Kolinsky sable pointed round.
The sable holds a very fine point while carrying enough paint, so I can place many small strokes without constantly reloading the brush. It also releases the paint smoothly, and slight changes in pressure make it easy to vary the size and direction of each mark.
@NileJoanRivers Please don’t say that 😭 I’ve never had any formal training in painting either. I’ve just been studying the artists I love and experimenting little by little in my spare time.
I’m still learning too—so I hope this makes you want to paint more, not less.
