🚨🔵 EXCL | Tyrique George has been told he will not be going out on loan this summer, and the decision came directly from Alonso.

The 19-year-old attacker was expected to follow the standard Chelsea academy-to-loan pipeline. Alonso ended that conversation before it could begin. He watched George’s cup appearances from this season and told Cobham staff the winger has “an unusual understanding of space for his age.”

George will be in first-team training from day one of preseason. He won’t start Premier League matches immediately. But Alonso wants him in the environment, absorbing the system.

Another Leverkusen principle applied at Chelsea, develop from within, in-house, under direct supervision. George’s representatives are quietly thrilled. #CFC
