The Vols haven’t had much trouble starting fast against Top-10 teams under Josh Heupel.

Tennessee averages an 8.3-7.9 lead after the 1st quarter....but then comes the 2nd quarter.

The Vols average just 3.7 points in the 2nd, while the opposition averages nearly 12.

Saturday isn’t just about starting fast, it’s about sustaining it.

So if Tennessee jumps out early, don’t celebrate too soon. The 2nd quarter has been where things get dicey.
