They’ll say “photographers own the IP of the images” and skip the rest of the law Lol. You don’t own the likeness of your clients who paid you in full, you can’t utilize those images for commercial or promotional purposes without consent. Your ownership doesn’t give you unlimited permission to use the likeness of the person or people depicted in it. Your right as the photographer doesn’t override your client’s right to their privacy and likeness except your client chooses to wave this right through an agreement. The concept of “payment for privacy” is criminal, people don’t pay for their fundamental human rights, I pity some of you with how you move so brazenly and concoct new words, you’ll jam one agbako client that’ll teach real lessons with watery beans.
Read extensively, don’t cherry pick the law.

Una dey fra, “pay for privacy” after paying you in full for a service. It’s the lawlessness here that has given folks free rein to make up their own terms and pass it on as normal. A few lawsuits here and there and everyone will behave themselves. If you’re looking to build a portfolio and marketing materials, that’s what collaboration shoots are meant for. You MUST ask your clients for permission before you post their images, except you gave a discount and there’s a prior agreement. You can’t just make up your own laws that contravenes people’s fundamental rights.
