Literally the only thing you can do to impact the margin of error for offside in the VAR age is to scrap the rule altogether. Photons (daylight) are a significantly smaller margin of error than anything else and still end up being mesured in pixels and fames. It's baffling that we are wasting time with this nonsense.

Guy has played and is currently playing better that both the Liverpool and Premier League benchmarks for a midfielder, which is fairly impressive given the obstacles and rebuild at Liverpool during this period.

Fair enough if you don’t think it’s enough for a record breaking signing, but he isn’t playing poorly.

@DeadlineDayLive Stats suggest he would be a better fit for AM based on last year’s numbers (despite also struggling for time).

Seems to be a “Styles make Fights” deal in terms of league suitability, so impact would depend how he is used.

Decent player in there if he can get game time.

@BBCSport Raised an eyebrow for me when Arsenal signed him, but on paper he was what they needed. Still performed in line with the average Prem forward last season despite limited mins.

Definitely a player in there, but doesn’t seem to be able to show it where he is.
