We must ensure African countries benefit first & fully from their critical minerals through fair, sustainable value chains & manufacturing.
No more plundering. No more exploitation.
The people of Africa must benefit from the resources of Africa.
only question is, why aren’t our top dog billionaires investing in our startups?
if investment capital is coming from outside Africa, decision making gets compromised, does that not defeat the purpose of building a defense that is in the utmost interest of Africa’s security?
amazing news about @terraindustries seed round, literally was talking to my brother about this yesterday for Africa to start building its own Defense systems that is built ground from our own infra… huge congratulations to @_KingNath, @Max_Sengu and team.

the idea that one of these world powers would go after US because you are allies or trade partners is absurd.
nations take decades and centuries to build on all sides, unless your issue threatens their survival as a nation, they would never risk a war with each other for you.
“we’re monitoring the situation closely” and “expressing concerns” got to be the most funny thing about modern day geopolitical issues on this app.
once you see that statement, just know no one is coming help you.
hahaha!
I hate how it took the international community to stand up against the killings in our backyards. How bad has it really gotten? It’s not the wish of God that millions of Christain live in fear and prayers alone is not enough at this point.
Bill Maher delivers a surprising moment on air as he calls out the slaughter of CHRISTIANS in Nigeria that the media refuses to cover.
“If you don’t know what’s going on in Nigeria, your media sources SUCK,” Maher said.
“You are in a BUBBLE. I’m not a Christian, but they are systematically killing the Christians in Nigeria.”
“They’ve killed over 100,000 since 2009. They’ve burned 18,000 churches… They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country. Where are the kids protesting this?” he asked.
Maher’s diatribe drew a huge reaction from the crowd, and a big THANK YOU from Rep. Nancy Mace for bringing it up.
“Absolutely,” Maher responded.
When I say Afrobeats is in a cultural recession, I'm not only referring to our global grip loosening. We aren't just losing global steam. Even worse, we're receding at home.
That's where my biggest fear is. The car and present danger at home.
We used to have 2-3 certified national new annual stars. Last year, we produced none. Now? We have to argue and legislate what blowing is, and who our stars are. It's pathetic that we as a culture now have an abundance of moot hits. Few unanimous unifiers.
Our hit song occurrence have dropped. We now have overmarketed singles that follow us everywhere, beating us to submission rather than inspiring love and devotion.
In 6 months, we have only managed 3 national hits, and a world of 'buzzing singles.' Afro Adura has been with us for two years, but they haven't claimed the centre. And risk falling into the danger of stagnating as regional champions. I hate that for them. Our new entrants deserve more.
Due to overmarketing and oversupply, the quality and value of music has dropped across board. The elite class is misfiring. The upcoming artists are aping this dysfunction, and misfiring too. No difference between the output at the top and emergent levels.
Due to focus on DSPs, we're spending the most as a culture, but getting muted results. It's cultural shrinkflation. Paying more for less impact. Dropping crates of duds every Friday.
I want more for us. I have been here long enough to see us as world-beating swashbucklers. And I want us to return to that. I don't hate this culture. It's my home, the only space I've known in my adult life.
And I want the good times back! 🥺💔
