BREAKING: China’s Tightening Control over the Global Graphite Market

"China’s Ministry of Commerce has announced that, effective December 1, export permits will be mandated for specific graphite products, citing national security reasons. Graphite, a pivotal component for electric vehicle (EV) batteries, finds China at its epicenter, producing 67% of the global supply of natural graphite. Additionally, China refines over 90% of the world’s graphite, which is integral to almost all EV battery anodes."

Not quite sure many people are aware of the growing economic tensions between China and the West surrounding the Critical Minerals we need to function as a society. The time to build supply chains domestically was Yesterday.

Its been a tit for tat between China and the US:

-Earlier this year China banned the export of Gallium and Germanium in August. https://t.co/N35vAGIo1z

-The US responded by banning/restricting Nvidia from selling semiconductor chips to China

Then today, although not necessarily connected to the above tit for tat exchange, China moves to restrict graphite and its end products as discussed in the article above. Its never been more important for North America to build out supply chains domestically. The G7 need to have this as one of their top priorities moving forward.

BRICS dominates the world's rare earth reserves and production. Although not an issue today, imagine if they collectively decided to stop exporting to Western governments for any given reason. Or added extreme tariffs for those not in BRICS.

This is why the west needs to hammer the importance on critical minerals exploration, development, production and end-product creation.

Rare Earth Elements are an aspect of exploration that very few speak about, fewer understand, but ultimately have massive consequences if supply was to be cut off from China.

Ex: Every EV currently in existence has at least one special magnet in the engine that needs REEs to be created. Quite simply put...you do not get an EV revolution without REEs.

More Information:

The radiometric high is North-South oriented (very important as this is what you are looking for in Quebec and Ontario when searching for lithium) and has a length and width of apx 800 x 250 meters. The mag low covers an area nearly 1km in length and just over 500m wide.

This gives a massive area for MAX's team to get boots on the ground to explore this highly prospective target area that is elevated so as to not be fully under and water like you see in large areas of James Bay.

To date, MAX Power now has 4 potential LCT target on just the Corvette Lake North project alone. More to come as they get boots on the ground and finish the airborne surveys on Corvette Lake South.
