Parents: don’t put God second (to sports, grades, looks, extra curriculars) your child’s entire life and expect God to be first in their life when they leave your home.
When a pastor makes a change that affects every church member—big or small—he spends some of his precious but limited pastoral capital.
It takes years to build it but only instant to spend it.
This should make every pastor judicious about what changes are truly worth the cost.
In all my years of pastoring, I have learned this lesson: a person's spiritual maturity is not truly visible until they DON'T get their way. Then you see the person.
2/2 from Pastor Steve Gaines explaining his prayer card method. In the envelope were some of his own prayer cards to use as an example & blank cards to continue on.
He truly cared about the next generation of pastors, the nobodies. Heaven rejoices with his homecoming.
1/2 I’m a staff member at a church in South Carolina. I’m a nobody in the SBC. When @bellevuepastor announced his retirement, I saw a post about his prayer cards & wanted to learn more. I called & emailed his office. Around a month later I received a a hand written letter…
Don’t give up to darkness, depression, or discouragement. Fight. Fight with the weapons of spiritual warfare. Push back with prayer. Strengthen yourself with Scripture. Strain forward in the strength of Jesus until you’re delivered. You’re going to make it.
As you pray for America’s soldiers in harm’s way, I urge you to also pray for our Southern Baptist missionaries, for national believers, and for the lost who so desperately need the Lord.
I’m grateful to God that we can confirm our missionary families are currently unharmed.
One day you’ll stand before the Lord.
You won’t bring achievements.
You won’t bring possessions.
But you can bring people.
“Lord, this is my joy and my crown.”
Southern Baptist churches in New England have 10,000 more people attending worship now than they did a decade ago. In Ohio, churches gave a record amount through the Cooperative Program last year, and in Michigan, baptisms increased by 15 percent.

We lost the family meal during the TV dinner era, now families rarely share & pass down values that were once shared at the family meal. Family meal time needs to be reclaimed!
Use meal time to provide a biblical worldview about daily events. Laugh, enjoy, fellowship, reclaim.
Studies show family meals are literally linked to better grades.
According to a Columbia University study by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA), children who frequently share dinner with their families achieve higher grades in school.
The data reveals that teens eating five or more family meals weekly are far more likely to earn excellent marks and demonstrate advanced communication and vocabulary abilities.
This research underscores how routine family engagement fosters a nurturing, stable setting that enhances emotional well-being and self-assurance—vital factors in scholastic achievement.
The advantages go further: shared mealtimes provide a secure forum for self-expression, absorption of family principles, and honing of analytical thinking. Notably, the study also shows that adolescents with more family dinners are markedly less prone to risky activities like smoking or alcohol use. In today’s world of packed agendas and digital distractions, these findings highlight how the straightforward act of dining together can significantly influence a child’s trajectory.

Mr. @elonmusk you’ve dedicated your life to bettering humanity & making life multi-planetary to ensure life continues.
Please consider your fate for eternal life.
Your salvation would impact billions, ensuring eternal life for much of humanity through Jesus Christ. In Love.
If you identify as a Christian - it’s time to take your faith serious.
There needs to be a visible corporate movement of the church reclaiming faithfulness to God’s house and His Word.
Go to church tonight, pray. Seek the Lord.
No fear of God → No respect for law.
Our world celebrates sin → hates those who do good.
The farther we run from Jesus → the closer we run to chaos.
Our problem is not political → our problem is spiritual, we need an awakening.
Awaken the Church. Awaken the Lost O Lord.
