My SIL had a 90s themed birthday last weekend and my man didn’t even complain when I was too drunk by 10:30 and asked him to pick me up and get Taco Bell🤣 I talked to him about my fake eyelashes in the drive thru for 10 minutes lmfao
Early career years are painful.
You feel like an idiot 98% of the time - lost, confused and insecure.
I wish I had a cheat sheet of principles for my first job.
So I put one together.
Here are 20 things about building a career I wish I knew sooner:
I'm so tired of emails, slacks, zooms, phone calls, etc. I just want to walk into someone's office unannounced, plop down, ask them a question, brainstorm on something unrelated, chit chat for a while, then walk out completely forgetting why I stopped by in the first place.
If 8 year old me saw “virtual learning day” instead of “closed” next to my school on the news ticker I would’ve put a chair through the TV. We are robbing these kids of some of the best days of their childhood so that they can stare into a screen all day and get talked at.
