There's fantastic botanizing to be had in Western Australia but the orchids are something else entirely!
A few highlights spotted while doing some field work there
Diuris sp. in Karing-gai, including one being visited by a very keen butterfly
It left probably quite disappointed as this genus is thought to be food deceptive and not offer any nectar to pollinators

@thesilverdory I've seen a few chironomids visiting winter pterostylis in NZ, although no pollen removal. Certainly interesting to see it happening across the ditch too though
