Last year I saw a small dog with a ponytail and it’s become like the opposite of trauma: I can’t stop thinking about this perfect dog, I flip out every time I drive past that park and today I saw a baby with a similar ponytail and I was transported to ponytaildog memoryHELP
Yesterday, an elected official asked me if my cane was “for show.”
Years ago that comment - in the midst of a work event in front of others - would’ve embarrassed and upset me. Now it angers me beyond words at those we elect & knowing how many of us deal with this everyday.
“Cruel, inhuman and degrading”
Legal experts & prison inspectors describing WA's youth prison. This system is not broken. It was built to harm our children & that's exactly what its doing. Govts are choosing to cage kids > investing in community solutions https://t.co/roEnHaLYBn
I go to the zoo a lot and I really am consistently baffled by all the parents referring to every animal as “he” or “him” by default when they talk to their kids. What is going on? You got the baby brain?
I can’t count the times I’ve been wearing like green or yellow and some older white lady will go on at me about how I’m so lucky I can wear certain colours because of my “olive skin”. Wtf? Is this a racist micro aggression or what? Anyone can wear anything!
