It does get interesting! I let my players narrate how they want to deliver a crit or a killing blow, but I want to make sure I've got fun variety in the more mundane attacks that I'm describing.

As a first time DM, I can definitely say I've been neglecting narration of the misses. I can't wait to try that out on Friday!

@_Humannequin_ Many DMs forgot to narrate the misses, i tend to narrate complete misses (if the CA from the enemy or PC are 14 for example and the roll is a 7) as if who ever makes the roll triped, swing and miss, etc. the close calls are the defense stance, the shield, a hit in the armor, etc.

A third player had a magical raincloud appear over his head, raining on him and only him for 2 days or until someone cast Remove Curse. When the rain hit anything else, it magically dried. He handed his wet cloak to a player, and it was instantly dry upon leaving his touch. 😂

Another player had a green toad crawl out of their mouth and hop away, but not before another player caught it and made it his pet, naming it Frances. 😂
