We live in a protein-obsessed world. Protein matters, but for Pete’s sake, even Kellogg’s is selling protein Pop Tarts that still come with ~30 grams of added sugar per serving. You know what most Americans are actually missing? Fiber. And not fiber gummies, I’m talking about the diversity of fiber that comes from whole plant foods like fruits, vegetables, beans, lentils, and whole grains. Protein isn’t the problem, but fiber deserves way more attention. Don’t forget to eat your fiber, folks. 🙃
