My preaching advice to those preparing for Easter:
1. Trust the story. Let it do the work.
2. Trim your sermon. Less is more.
3. Try to relax. Life will go on no matter how you do.
4. Remember that Christ is risen. That’s what truly matters.
My wife was told by a Child Protective Services (CPS) Director that in her many years of experience:
Every successful reunification of a child back with their parents that actually lasted… a local church was involved in the story 100% of the time.
Let that set in for a minute.
What if we pursued hearing from the Father like Jesus did? What if we wanted to be sure that every word that came from our mouths was a result of meeting with God? #QuietTime
What a way to end a game. Alvon Isaac streaks down the court for the tough lay up and game winner. The Villages move on to the regional title game 54-53

You are NOT defined by your worst moments or your greatest accomplishments; your wins or your losses; your strengths or your weaknesses. God defines you. And his definition for you is “Beloved.”
In religion, a person’s identity and worth is determined by their work for God.
In Christianity, a person’s identity and worth is determined by God’s work for them.
You’re not who people say you are. You’re not who social media says you are. You’re not who the scale says you are.
You’re who GOD says you are. And He says you're loved. He says you are held. He says You're His.
Forever His.
