🚨 Djed Spence breaks silence on why he didn’t greet Thomas Partey:
“I have my beliefs, and I live by them. My faith guides my decisions, and I know what my scriptures teach me. People are free to interpret what happened however they want, but I’m not going to go into detail or explain myself.
To the England fans, if my actions disappointed or upset any of you, I sincerely apologise. That was never my intention. I respect everyone, but I also have to stay true to my convictions.”
Thomas Partey is charged with multiple counts of rape and sexual assault by four women. He’s still playing at the World Cup.
He denies it and will stand trial.
Good on Djed Spence for refusing to shake his hand - that showed conviction and recognises the seriousness of the charges.
Declan Rice going in for a hug was a choice too…
Three weeks ago, I had lunch with Chairman Wontumi. We discussed Ghana, his trials, tribulations, and his political future. I was awestruck by the depth of his thinking. Stripped of all his previous political overreach in speech and conduct, he is a maverick well on his way to reformation, obviously influenced by possible outcomes of his court battles. Whatever the outcome, the man says, "I am not accepting everything being said of me, but it is good these things happen... a good learning curve. May our God be with him on this journey." I think remorse combined with a plea bargain should be considered, as long as we get back our money with interest.
By the way, we met at the restaurant by chance. He paid for my lunch.
True story:
Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is, without a doubt, the most important figure ever produced by the African continent. And it isn't even close.
He is not on the same level as other African revolutionary leaders because he was more than that.
He is the blueprint. He is the 🌴
I was on call at work when Arsenal won the semifinal. My husband called me immediately the game ended. I screamed into his ear. I called my Dad immediately after we hung up. He screamed into my ear 😂 #COYG.
