just leaving it here what jannik sinner and alex eala thinks about the "pressure." seeing them being both so in touch with the reality, I know I'm standing the right athletes.
Keeping things in proportion:
Jovic-Eala had such an Alcaraz-Sinner US Open 2022 ring to it, down to the teen outlasting the 21-year-old.
Rallies were animalistic, played at absurd speed.
It felt important, like an early glimpse of the future.
Let's revisit this in 2-3 years…
The No. 14 seed vs No. 17 seed matches between Iva Jovic-Alex Eala and Learner Tien-Jakub Mensik are one for the books! It really went on full sets, 3-setter and 5-setter!
The future is bright for the next gen stars of WTA and ATP 👏🏻
THE TROPHY OBSESSION KILLS THE LOVE FOR THE GAME 🧠✨
We're so conditioned to measure a tennis career strictly by silverware that we forget what it actually takes just to step onto a Grand Slam court.
When Alex Eala talks about appreciating the pure journey at Flushing Meadows instead of fixating on a trophy count, it's a massive reality check.
Success means nothing if you're miserable the whole time you're chasing it.
Some players spend their whole lives stressed about the destination and forget to look out the window.

Huge respect to Jannik Sinner for the way he handled the Nick Kyrgios situation.
He could have snapped, hit back, and said some stupid things in the media.
Instead, he stayed silent and waited for the universe to do its thing. Mentality is everything.
filipinos are born to perform. sadyang isiniksik lang sa mga utak natin na mas mahalaga ang science sa art (they are of the same importance) kaya mas pinupursue natin mga hard science na profession
Feel so much for Jack Draper. It seems to me his biggest issue is mental scar tissue particularly from the arm injury. Its gonna take time but every match he gets through is a win. Keep going Jack, stay tough and the wins will come. You are too good for that not to be the case.
Something so acutely sad about someone repeatedly being prevented from being able to do the thing they’ve worked their whole life for.
Really hope things turn for Jack soon
