UPDATE: Martin O’Neill has agreed terms on a one-year deal to become the permanent manager of Celtic.
The 74-year-old indicated to principal shareholder Dermot Desmond that he wanted to take the job, during talks yesterday.
The Celtic board has wasted little time in sowing division. From initiating bans to considering a hugely divisive figure as manager.
Until there is meaningful change in personnel and culture within the Celtic hierarchy then there will be no sustained unity across the club.
...is the message from Celtic fans.
Robbie Keane is in the frame to be appointed as the next Celtic manager.
This would be another shameful act by a Celtic board who are in constant conflict with the club's supporters and the values of the club which are recognised worldwide.
The board surely have to read the room and go for anyone else; MON and if he doesn’t want it then literally anyone else, Keane will just lead to another season of; fan protests, statements galore, toxic atmospheres and civil wars.
It’s so preventable too.
