@natdelucca Thank you for sharing such a beautiful tribute to Rachael. I've read it three times now and appreciate more each time the ways she shared her love with her family and community. Sending care to your family.
If you are able, please consider supporting my wonderful, thoughtful, much-loved doctoral student as her family manages a terminal diagnosis. They need resources to move her sibling to a more accessible and pleasant living situation.

You’d be helping to develop community with pre-service and in-service teachers, designing for our scientific sensemaking, analyzing video and artifacts, and imagining new ways of engaging in science. Feel free to reach out if interested!
It’s time for me to admit that @natdelucca will not be my student forever! I’m recruiting PhD students to join us @vupeabody to work on a project partnering with science Ts to create spaces for us to engage in expansive, humanizing forms of sensemaking about the natural world.
Our goal is to develop spaces for Ts—particularly Ts of color—to experience science in new ways, developing new relationships to the discipline they teach. One teacher-partner framed it as getting to experience new ways of feeling in science that they could bring to the classroom
