What was said about First Lady Michelle Obama is the same reason I didn’t like the Netflix Kevin Hart Roast. What was done to Black women on that show wasn’t comedy—it was cringe, disrespectful, and insulting.
As a community, we need to stop allowing these public moments to come and go without meaningful discussion or accountability. There should be accountability from everyone involved—from the individuals making the remarks to the platforms and producers who give them a stage. We also need real conversations about how these situations can be prevented and what actions can be taken to create better standards moving forward.
Humor should never come at the expense of degrading Black women.

“Does it even matter, came from the back of the pack but still I climb the ladder
It doesn’t mean they’re better because they did it faster
It’s all about the endurance, I promise I’ma pass ya”

People can say alot of things about you in this life but one thing no woman can ever say about me is that I sexually harassed, abused in any way, put my hands on, or stalked her.
Unfortunately some niggas can’t relate
