To novice runners, a marathon is often considered the ultimate challenge. A 5k is the entry event.
But... running a good 5k can be much more challenging. You are riding a line, it's hard from the get go.
We are biased towards equating distance to challenge.
That concludes the indoor campaign. The planning, the dedicated effort Grant puts in, the rest, the work, and the execution of race plan. All impressive. Thanks Grant Fisher for giving us something to cheer about!

Like it or not, you should make friends with the athletes on the XC team. At EVERY school. Because most likely, you’ll be working for one of them in 10 years. XC athletes are smart and know how to work. Life skills that show up years after they quit racing.
🗣️ “That was a long distance runner. It was the first time he medaled in that. Twice… Ohhhh you’re right, that guy actually is a badass”
Track and field 🤝 football?!
🏈 A quick interjection during #1 ranked sports podcast on Apple @PardonMyTake to give kudos to Grant Fisher.
Fisher was recognized at the Lions’ game on Sunday for his double Olympic bronze showing in Paris 🥉🥉
I don’t expect kids to know the benefits of HS XC but parents should know; best GPA on average, you earn your own results, you master your own mind. The question isn’t ’WHY XC?’ The question is ‘why NOT?!’ #TOD
