🎄 On Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve), emergency services from all over #yyc, including @CalgaryPolice, @ahs_ems, the Calgary Fire Department, @calgarytransit & @CityOfCalgary Bylaw Services circled the Alberta Children's Hospital (@ACHFKids) with their lights & sirens activated, as a gesture to give hope to sick children & their parents who could not be home during the holidays.
Many CPS members participated, even on their days off, to show their appreciation to the nurses & staff who are working during the holidays.
Today, on International Volunteer Day, we celebrate the Red Cross and Red Crescent volunteers who are making a difference in people’s lives worldwide.
Their dedication, empathy, & passion inspire us all.
Thank you for volunteering & for being a beacon of hope for humanity.

This officer made the ultimate sacrifice and we share in the profound grief across Canada.
On behalf of the CPS we send our deepest condolences to Sgt. Breau’s family, friends, and our fellow Sûreté du Québec brothers and sisters.
