I was going over the food tests before #year11 #mocks, trying to come up with fun ways to remember each one. I've had loads of students say to me they got a question right because they remember me saying 'Benedict's tests for sugars because Benedict Cumberbatch is a sweet guy'

I lost 5 mins of my lesson yesterday to a giant spider. My year 9s completely lost it. I thought better to spend 5 mins catching the spider than spend 60 mins having students distracted by/ terrified of it #TeacherTuesday

I had my preliminary visit to my PP2 school today. The science dept seem really enthusiastic and I'm super excited to see what I can learn from them and also to give teaching the International Baccalaureate a go! 😁

Today was the last day of my PP1! I'm feeling mixed emotions: Sad to be leaving the staff and students, proud of how I've progressed as a teacher and excited for my next challenge 🎉
