@juniorwiseboy69 I think being able to afford the basics without having to stress and then some. People are in employment yet they can’t even afford basic health care. I think the JCTR basic needs basket gives a rough idea of how much people should be getting paid.

My unpopular opinion; your full-time job should be enough to sustain a decent quality of life without requiring a side hustle. A side hustle should be a choice, not a necessity.

@ke_le_brimbor I agree that lifestyle audits and financial planning are important. However, the issue isn't always poor planning or overspending, it can also be that salaries simply aren’t reflective of the cost of living hence the need for extra income.
