Tom Holland opened up about how Robert Downey Jr. mentored him while he was becoming Spider-Man.
“He was someone that I could always rely on.”
Tom said Downey taught him the importance of respecting the crew, being prepared, taking creative risks, and even being willing to try ideas that might not work.
“Really just getting to watch him work over the years and call him a friend.”
For Tom, having someone like Downey to call whenever he was stuck was one of the most valuable parts of becoming Spider-Man.
Jake Gyllenhaal revealed that getting his braces and glasses removed in high school completely changed his life at least in his head. 😂
“I realized I could see as well as other people see me.”
Tom Holland wanted to see what Jake looked like as a kid, but Jake admitted the big “glasses and braces” transformation wasn’t exactly a movie moment:
“I was like, ‘Hey guys, look. I took off my glasses, my braces.’ No one cared. No one cared.”
Then the conversation somehow turned into Jake’s love for Greggs and “a lot of buns.” 😂
