@JoeWilsonEQ1@ArtOfPilgrim@marmoset Knurling is Gnarly
Was one of my favourite tools to use on the lathe π I miss it.
Worth noting that knurling is a subtractive process of interlaced lines, meaning the resulting diamonds protrude _out_ of the surface not into the surface

@ohle_mathiebe@oniram177 Theres another benefit which is the silhouette of a machined edge should be closer to circular than you normally get with standard Sub-D
While Sub-D looks smoother, normally in the bake that tiny normal variance between the curve and the flat disapears
@SSJ_Joseph@henningsanden but also just getting people to _actually_ look at what they're trying to replicate/create. so many times my critique isnt how something was modeled but that the shape that hsa been modeled isnt what they think it is.
@oniram177@ArtOfPilgrim Find this so interesting, I really hate the flick gestures in maya π I wish i could get used to it but I always feel super clumsy and slow, even watching other people using them. Wonder what I'm missing
