This morning, along with @yorkrescueboat and @WessexRescue, we have been placed on standby by our @surflifesaving national flood adviser.
With heavy rain expected across the North in the next 12 hours, we are preparing to assist @LancashireFRS and @LancsPolice

Would like to take the opportunity to thank @MorecambeRNLI for allowing 1 search team to wash off at their station and the cold drink.

Callout 14/04/24

This morning, the team were contacted by @LancsPolice and requested to assist with an ongoing search in Morecmabe.

We teamed up and worked with Morecambe Coastguard Rescue Team, @ArnsideCG Rescue Team and Knott-End Coastguard Rescue Team.

Togeather, we search of the coastline along Morecambe front at low tide.

@NPASNorthWest helicopter searched the sands further out in the bay and @BaySARteam conducted searches of coastline further north.

A true multi agency effort from all involved.

Following our search last weekend. Our boat got a full wash down due to being in salty, muddy waters.

A big thanks to @AutosmartUK Garstang for the donation of their multi-purpose cleaner that worked a treat removed all the ground in dirt and contamination.

For the last two days the team have been deployed to assist Lancashire Constabulary with an ongoing missing person search on the River Ribble near Warton. 8 volunteers deployed across the 2 days, and conducted a search from the river Bank and boat at low tide

This evening, the team has been out conducting a search exercise in the Heysham head area.
Tricky conditions due to recent rain but our @RuthLeeLtd casualty was located, treated, and swiftly extricated using our @SaviourMedical stretcher.

Colleagues from other @surflifesaving teams across the South of the country are preparing ahead of the incoming storm.

Last weekend, one of our rescue technicians travelled to Anglesea to take part in a boat operators course run by @surflifesaving along with @yorkrescueboat.

As always, a pleasure to work with other professional volunteers.

Well done to all on the course in tricky conditions.

Over the weekend five of our volunteers completed their Flood Rescue Boat Operators refresher course at Anglesea. The water conditions at Cymyran Straight and Stanley Embankment are a real test of our team members skills and the capabilities of our boats.
