That's when it dawned on her-, she had forgotten to ask.
"Ah, well-I saw you andโum you sounded exhausted too so I thought-...some hot chocolate would be a nice drink to wake up to."
"Mm. . . Guess so."
{The moments she's gone he does sit up and begin to examine the contents of his bag to retrieve a textbook and some notes. The binder with the assignments is tucked away in there somewhere too. When the other returned with hot chocolate a brow quirked.}
Lucky for him, her job is to help in any way she can. Listening to him and his sleepy tone, she would get up.
"Oh, I mean, it could have been because you missed me."
She would tease before heading over to the tutors lounge and returned with two mugs of hot chocolate.
"Ever anything different?"
{Responded him, voice still groggy, cracking a bit. He should have grabbed coffee, that would have been better.}
"I have to come to these tutoring things now as per coaches requests, so. . . Hello."
Her eyes would lighten up when she saw the familiar face. A smile would grace her lips as she got up to go and greet him.
"What's wrong Marshall? Is it math again?"
Her grin would only widen as she pulled a chair over to look humorous at what troubled him.
{Book in hand, pop tart in the other along with a look that only a dead man could match.
The young man moves into the classroom for the mandatory tutoring his coach had implemented. He sits at the end of the first row, not paying the girl any mind.}
She would find a spot in the field before looking around... seeing that not a soul in sight was take a deep breath.
From her small frame a song that could calm the ocean waves erupted from her. If for a moment she could escape her reality, she would bring harmony as she goes.
She would rest inside the tutoring designated classroom. Supposedly there would be a handful of students that would show up today however..it was slower than ever.
A few other tutors had already clocked out and yet she sat there, waiting: foolishly optimistic.
"Ah-, a young man...who does judo? Apparently he got himself disciplined."
She would giggle "I haven't seen you around much since the last time we spoke! Are you by chance another troublemaker?"
"OH...this-student whose awful at math. Not because he can't do it but because he's to incredibly unwilling and unmotivated to do it."
She would pout and huff
"He set up an appointment with me and hasn't shown up yet."
