The amount of patients who wouldn’t be alive if we honestly titrate levo by the ordered parameters instead of to actually get their BP back to living 🥴
i hate the assumption that if people have ICU experience they can work anywhere… like someone who has worked ICU their whole career is not just going to easily float to med/surg. yes the acuity is “lesser” and they should have the knowledge but the time management skills? nah
Looked at my staffing for tonight’s charge shift and I’m stuck with all new grads.
I literally have more experience than all of them combined.
Hoping tonight won’t crush us and our souls.
#DamarHamlim is a great example on how CPR works great for acute cardiac events. CPR saves lives, but it isn't going to work the same way on a 80 year old in *multi system organ failure*
If you nit pick on what the previous shift couldn’t get done due to a patient being critically ill, you are the absolute worst. Nursing is 24/7. Pick up where they left off. It’s not rocket science.
