The Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Black Male was a clinical study conducted between 1932 and 1972 by the U.S. Public Health Service. The purpose of this study was to observe the natural history of untreated syphilis;

1849 Henry "Box" Brown
-Mailed himself to freedom from Richmond, Virginia to the Anti Slavery Office in Philadelphia. The delivery took 26hrs & he later became a public speaker and abolitionist. 💪🏾💪🏾#BlackHistoryMonth

Did you know: Charleston, South Carolina native Harvey Bernard Gantt became the first black student to enroll at Clemson University. He graduated with honors, earning a degree in architecture. In 1983, became the first black mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina. #Blackhistorymonth
