Well, when a child is conceived, the DNA split is 50/50 from both parents. Except for one small detail: mitochondrial DNA. It’s passed down only through the mother and never through sperm.
Which means something interesting: all living humans can trace their mitochondrial line back to one woman, not one man.
And every daughter born continues passing that same line forward.
Happy Mother’s day
there’s nothing more romantic than someone choosing to learn you. flipping the pages in your soul delicately and digesting your chapters with an open mind no matter how difficult or uncomfortable some of your moments read, treating each bookmark with no judgment, but pure love.
Tl, asleep?
I was at one of my lowest points yesterday: i finally reached closure on something i have been in denial for a long time, yet unsure how I would internalise this truth that was starring at me for a long while now: friendship isn’t for everyone and that is okay too.
Celebrate yourself for the times you broke the cycle and resisted the pull to repeat old patterns.
Have compassion for yourself for the times you followed old scripts and returned to past pits.
The progress and the setbacks are part of the journey.
don’t be too hard on yourself for the moments you’ve fallen back into patterns you may have thought you abandoned or thought you were beating, be grateful for the awareness that comes with recognizing that you have outgrown that shallow vibration you used to swim in before.
