Fascinating that accounts like this (that have over 140k followers, probably bought) still haven’t posted about the fact that her two wins as manager have ensured Union Berlins survival. First female to win a match in Europe’s top 5 leagues. Says a lot doesn’t it
This thankfully is yet another example of why basing everything on data is so flawed in football.
You just have to use your eyes to see the many ways the team has improved.
Consensus says: Man Utd have thrived since Carrick replaced Amorim

As much as it hurts #CSK fans - this just isn’t a very good team (specifically bowlers). Fully expect them to finish bottom of the table. #RCBvsCSK#IPL

“If a U.S. role were to be confirmed, the strike would rank among the worst cases of civilian casualties in decades of U.S. conflicts in the Middle East.”
Some of the reaction on here by #mufc fans to last night’s loss is pretty weird. Bad game, bad performance - but not the end of the world. Certainly not as bad as under Amorim.
As for the Scholes Instagram story: To see some club legends sink as low as they are… like, grow up?

Just to clarify a few misconceptions and highlight some interesting things I’ve seen re: journalism.
My question was admittedly long but journalists typically ask three or four questions which when added up are of an equal-ish time to mine. I deliberately chose to ask one detailed question instead.
I mentioned the 2006 columns as I wanted to see if 1) his opinion had changed 20 years on and 2) how he deals with that as a coach now rather than an analyst or writer.
His answers provided inference to both even if he didn’t explicitly say so, which is helpful for my work going forward.
And lastly, I asked that question as I am working on a piece around those ideas.
The quotes feed into the article. The article is the end product.
Getting more information from an interviewee is probably the aim when the interview is the end product.
Getting new information relevant to the article is the aim when the article is the end product.
Everyone entitled to an opinion on someone’s journalist approach. As someone with a big passion for football especially tactically, I’m enjoying trying new things and I’m happy with how it’s gone so far whilst always trying to improve with guidance from the best.
Excited to share my piece next week so stay tuned.
