#sunday "I never met a sunset I didn't like."
A beautiful Cornish winter sunset... We can really see why Cornwall continues to inspire Jo and her talented team!
Grade I listed St Mary’s Church in Launceston sits next to our studio.
The oldest church clock in Cornwall, it was in desperate need of restoration. A grant has given the clock a facelift & seen the mechanism restored.
Now you can appreciate the gilded letters & bright colours.
This shows evidence of the ingenuity and ambition of the capital to carve a new way - it doesn’t say where the money came from of course… but as the impasse continues between workers and government - we could use a bit of that ambition again. #strikes#transport#architecture
A crisp morning site visit to check what possibility there is for new drains - my favourite topic (alongside slates oc) #December#frost#architecture#materials

PLACE is devoted to helping the next generation of architects, helping students learn in specific areas alongside their degrees.
Niall Davies-Hale is a Part I student at Falmouth University who has a passion for sustainability and is currently working with us here at PLACE.
Our Part 1 student architect Niall being put through his paces. This internal exam is about the RIBA Work Stages - we think learning them like times tables helps students understand better their own training needs. #Training#Students#architecture
