Digitalization is the way forward for #TVET in Kenya! With policies like the Kenya National Digital Master Plan, ICT Strategic Plan, and ICT in Education and Training Policy, we have a solid foundation. It's time for TVET institutions to prioritize digital transformation.

Today, KSTVET had the privilege of showcasing some of its successful programs at the Annual Partnership for Skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering, and Technology (PASET) conference. These include CBET training, Jitume ToTs implementation, and the ODeL Eastern African Platform.

It was my pleasure to preside over the Closing Ceremony of the Jitume Programme Cohort 3 of 114 Training of Trainers at the Kenya School of TVET.

I commend the leadership of the CEO, Kenya School of TVET, Dr. Edwin Tarno, and all other stakeholders for their collaboration in making this Programme a success since its launch.

This training is aimed at bridging the digital gap by empowering trainers from various TVETs across the country who are expected to impart these vital skills to our youth and workforce for the betterment of our economic development.

I challenged the trainers to remain consistent in this space and teach our trainees to have an earning mentality so as to conquer the limitless online opportunities and harness the power of digital technology.

It was my honour to accompany the Head of State, His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, during the official opening and launch of the Jitume Lab of the Gilgil Technical and Vocational College in Nakuru County.

The Kenya Kwanza Government is committed to ensuring access to skills for our youth through the establishment of TVET colleges in every constituency in Kenya. To date, over 238 constuencies have operational TVETs. Plans are underway to construct the TVET colleges in the remaining 52 constituencies.

Present were the Deputy President, His Excellency Rigathi Gachagua; Cabinet Secretary for Education, Hon. Ezekiel Machogu; Nakuru Governor, Hon. Susan Kihika; and area Member of Parliament, Hon. Martha Wangari, among other Government officials.

10 trainers from KTTC arrived in Germany today to undergo specialised training of trainers programme at HLFT. The 4 week training will cover the Dual VET system, engagement with industry, digital competencies among other areas. The training is supported by German Gvt thru @GIZ
