La dictadora interina de Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, revela una vez más sus verdaderos colores: comunista y marxista, al rendir homenaje a Fidel Castro, un brutal dictador asesino comunista que destruyó Cuba y obligó a mi familia, y a millones de cubanos, a huir en busca de libertad.

Delcy Rodríguez representa esa misma ideología fracasada y es corresponsable de la tragedia, la represión y la destrucción que ha sufrido Venezuela.

Los venezolanos ya han sufrido demasiado bajo el socialismo. Es hora de sacar a Delcy Rodríguez del poder y comenzar una nueva era de libertad y democracia en Venezuela.

I was in Parque del Este tonight speaking to volunteers and affected families camping there. I was chatting to one family when two men came over to look what was going on then left. I started helping the family move their stuff to the road (I was carrying the cat!) as they were moving somewhere else. The two men called me over, asked me if I was a journalist, to which I said yes and showed them my wristbands. Asked more questions, who I was, where from, what I was doing. I asked who they were, as they still hadn't introduced themselves by this point. One (the politer one) said they were intelligence police, asked what I was doing, so I said speaking to the family etc. Asked if I knew them, I said no. Then asking qus like my age, which was weird as one had my passport which has my DOB. Took photos of my passport. Asked where I lived, said I didn't want to give that info. I asked why they wanted to know all this, they said for security and that people were taking children, so I asked if they thought I was taking kids. They said no. I told me they were asking me because I was a journalist and there was not a real free press. One was fairly polite and said they didn't want to make me uncomfortable. I said they already had. Eventually they gave me it back. It's ok to check who someone is, check they have a wristband which you now should have in the park - but I did, and I showed them, so why the need for questionning and taking photos of my passport? And why was the first qu, are you a journalist? Does everyone who enters the park get that level of treatment?

In response to the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela, AWMH is granting $100,000 in support through longtime partner @directrelief.

While the full scale of the damage is yet to be determined, the United Nations is reporting that up to 6.8 million Venezuelans may be affected, including those displaced or losing access to electricity and water. More than 68,000 people were reported missing within three days of the disaster, and the official death toll is approaching 2,000.

Direct Relief is preparing medical aid commonly needed after earthquakes, including first-aid supplies, hygiene items for displaced families, medicines used to treat acute injuries, and chronic disease medications for people whose access to routine care may be interrupted.

AWMH’s $100,000 grant will support Direct Relief as the organization continues to respond to requests in the region as they become known.

Llegó la hora de asumirlo:

El Eje Caracas - La Guaira tiene muchos fallecidos, muchos sin identificar. Los cuerpos (no pondré imágenes) se están dañando, no hay orden ni celeridad en el reconocimiento y traslado.

En ello, por eso el cierre de algunas vías, y personal de rescate, ayuda más los sobrevivientes en las zonas críticas están expuestos al impacto ambiental que esto conlleva.

Con dolor, con tristeza y con mucha impotencia debemos entender que hemos dado 4 tallas ayudando y cero talla en orden.

Es momento de orden y que nos guste o no disguste, el personal especializado nacional e internacional debe hacer su trabajo sin que estorbemos para que todo sea más veloz.

Algunas de las medidas que las autoridades están tomando son las lögicas en un país normal y debieron tomarse en el momento cero; ya sabemos que no ocurrió y que nuestros sentimientos y experiencia de vida nos indica que tenemos que hacerlo, pero no.

Urge calma y orden, que los que saben hagan lo que saben y salven el mayor número de vidas posible, que se identifiquen y se retiren los cuerpos con celeridad para evitar enfermedades masivas en la población sobreviviente y en el personal.

No tenemos confianza, yo no la tengo, pero tenemos que tener cerebro.

Hemos encontrado con vida a Camila Sofía Medina Rivas, una niña de 15 años atrapada junto a su mascota en el noveno piso de un edificio colapsado.

Su madre la está esperando abajo con parte de nuestro equipo.

Aún debemos romper varias paredes para llegar hasta ella, por lo que nuestros equipos han llevado más herramientas.
