🚨 Another crisis, another appeal to citizens: “Work from home for a year, skip petrol/diesel, use EVs & Metro, postpone weddings.”
Classic. 12+ years in power, and every time Modi fails to fix the fundamentals, it’s the common man who pays the price.
• 🚌 Public Transport – Metros grew, but not fast enough. Major cities still stuck in vehicle hell. No aggressive scaling or privatisation.
• ⚡ Electric Vehicles – Subsidies? Okay. But range anxiety + pathetic charging network + higher upfront cost = zero mass adoption. Blocking BYD (too Chinese!) while importing batteries from China anyway? Peak hypocrisy.
• 🛢️ Fuel Reserves – Nowhere near enough buffer. So every West Asia tension becomes our problem.
• 🏠 Full WFH – Terrible idea. Kills collaboration, spikes isolation & burnout, creates “always-on” slavery, and wipes out lakhs of ancillary jobs (cab drivers, chaiwalas, tiffin services).
The smart fix? Hybrid – 2 days office for real meetings & energy + 3 days home for focused work.
Modiji, instead of making us adjust every crisis, how about building proper infrastructure before the next fire?
Short-term bandaids won’t build Atmanirbhar Bharat. Long-term execution will.
Thoughts, leaders? Hybrid work + serious EV & public transport push – yes or no?
