It’s titled: “Startup Labelling and Fiscal Incentives under the Nigeria Startup Act, 2022: Implications for Founders and Investors.”

The Nigeria Startup Act, 2022 represents a significant step towards strengthening Nigeria’s technology and innovation ecosystem by providing a legal framework for startups and introducing incentives for founders and investors. This article examines the startup labelling regime, the incentives available under the Act to both founders and investors, and the practical implications for those building and investing in technology-driven businesses.

My conclusion is that while the Act provides a robust legal framework capable of promoting innovation and attracting investment, its success depends on effective implementation and accessibility. If properly administered, the Act has the potential to position Nigeria as a leading technology and innovation hub in Africa.
