Roland the Farter was a medieval jester during the reign of Henry II of England during the 12th century. He achieved a significant amount of fame for his unique talent.

He was known for his exceptional farting abilities, which he cleverly incorporated into his entertaining court performances.

Roland's astonishing control allowed him to use farts as almost a form of musical expression.

Roland's peculiar talent made him a popular figure at King Henry II's court, and he was granted various privileges and rewards for his performances.

Roger Hoveden, a medieval chronicler of the time, wrote of a Christmas celebration in 1052 where Roland performed.

Henry II was so pleased with the performance that Roland was gifted a manor house in the village of Hemingstone in Suffolk, England. Along with the estate, Roland was granted a significant parcel of land and various other perks.
