A few days ago I was hunting for a decent PG in Kamla Nagar (University enclave) and adjoining areas. The room sizes, buildings and hygiene were scary as hell from a parent’s point of view. The asking rent was around 14–18k a month. Luckily we found a decent room with better food hygiene, but at double the price.
That day I came home with a heavy heart, thinking of children forced to live in pigeonholes because they cannot afford better accommodation. They risk their lives in old, unkempt buildings with loose electric wires hanging everywhere.
Why is the government allowing greedy PG owners to rob children of their right to live with dignity? Why is it not intervening in this mafia?

Mukherjee Nagar, Parmanand Colony, Nirankari, Vijay Nagar, GTB Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Patel Chest, Hudson Lane, Kamla Nagar, Outram Lane, Kingsway Camp, Model Town, Indra Vihar, Roop Nagar, Old Rajinder Nagar, Karol Bagh, Patel Nagar, Satya Niketan, Ber Sarai, Malviya Nagar, Moti Bagh, Katwaria Sarai, Jia Sarai, Munirka, Laxmi Nagar.
In some of these areas, students live in inhuman conditions.
No government can house every aspirant. But that cannot be an excuse for illegal basements, unsafe PGs, crumbling buildings and open drains.
After Satya Niketan and Rajinder Nagar, the question is painfully simple: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱?

Kangana Ranaut understands the pulse of the people and isn’t afraid to make government babus do their job.
Fearless, outspoken, and relentless in pushing the system to deliver.
Well done @KanganaTeam

At the Disha meeting in Mandi, the MP Kangana Ranaut reportedly questioned officials over the delay in spending the MP fund.
Honestly, this is the kind of questioning elected representatives should do.
Public funds are meant for public work — if there’s a delay, officials should be asked to explain why.
