NAF LEADERSHIP UPGRADE 38 OFFICERS DECORATED AS WING COMMANDERS
π³π¬The Nigerian Air Force decorated 38 senior officers with the rank of Wing Commander. Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke charged them to lead with readiness against evolving threats. This promotion strengthens command structure and boosts operational capacity across theatres.

THE COMMANDANT DEPOT NIGERIAN ARMY AMASIRI-EDDA DECORATES NEWLY PROMOTED SENIOR OFFICERS AND SUBALTERN.....urges professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
The Commandant Depot Nigerian Army Amasiri-Edda Brigadier General AM Ahmadu decorated newly promoted senior officers from the rank of Major to Lieutenant Colonel and subalterns from the rank of Second Lieutenant to Lieutenant in the Nigerian Army today Saturday 11 April 2026 at the Veteransβ Mess. The senior officers decorated with their new ranks are Lt Col WE Amesi, Lt Col UE Buhari and Lt Col NO Otobo while the subalterns decorated from the rank of Second Lieutenant to Lieutenants are Lt HM Halilu, Lt UJ Kabir, Lt DT Mouka, Lt SM Oladapo, Lt SS Oluwasola, Lt AA Adeyemo and Lt MI Yerima. The event was witnessed by senior officers, officers, families of the decorated officers as well as well wishers.
In his remarks, the Commandant congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to be more committed and diligent in carrying out their assigned tasks and responsibilities. He added that success is guaranteed when it reflects both character and learning. He encouraged them to attend courses and embrace self development in order to build capacity to enhance their career progression.
The Commandant further urged the officers to take good care of their families who are always supportive and praying for their overall success. He concluded by advising them to remain professional and committed in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.
During the decorations there were words of advice from officers to the newly decorated officers. Relatedly, the Chief of Staff Deport Nigerian Army Amasiri-Edda and the Chief Instructor Training Branch advised the newly decorated officers to be professional, committed to duty and lead by example.
Speaking on behalf of the newly decorated officers, Lieutenant Colonel WE Amesi expressed their profound gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu and the Nigerian Army Council for finding them worthy of promotion to their new ranks. He also appreciated the Commandant for his exemplary leadership, strategic guidance and mentorship which has impacted positively in their career. Also, he thanked family members for their continuous support and encouragement.
