I’ve never ever thought about leaving education but as a Mum of two I’d be lying if I didn’t admit I considered if a leadership role was compatible. As a heavily pregnant Deputy Head 11 years ago I really wasn’t sure I was going to get through another MAT leave & return in one piece. So desperate not to let my school down or my family. The pressure on women is immense and it’s hard to articulate to men - hard to really describe it. We have to stop losing women from our sector and we have to harness their talents more as leaders. The Headship stats are appalling! It’s 2023, we can do more ♥️⭐️
