@autcareandshare Love that . Thanks for sharing.. people being nice shouldn't be that heart warming, it should be a matter of course. But it is heartwarming
@BooksandChokers My class loved the book and are now loving the show. There lots of .."is this the bit where...?" Lots of discussion co.pqrinf book and show too
It’s Teachers, BUT IT IS EVERYONE.
From Teachers, headteachers, SENCOs (who think they know it all), case workers, social workers, inclusion officers, councillors, politicians, physicians.
Show me someone in a position and I’ll show you someone with inadequate Autism training.
It’s not about training teachers.
It’s not about getting kids in whatever the cost.
We know it’s not the best place because our children are telling us this.
Too many are damaged by this.
We know more now.
We parent differently, we work differently. 1/
@MrBoothY6@BooksandChokers Read this with my y6 class last term after I heard 'autisitc ' being used as name calling . So much understanding now, with some children saying its the best book they've read this year as they could relate.
Appreciate it's short notice, but I'm running my Whole Class Reading In KS2 training via Zoom on Thursday at 3pm. It's usually just under two hours long and will include class novel sessions, wider curriculum delivery, planning, questioning etc. Please RT!

I’d like to do my usual half term trick of giving one class and one teacher somewhere an entire set of their class novel for this half term. So tell me, what’s your class novel? And then retweet for a chance to win. And keep us in mind for future book orders!
Hey, if you have a DX of ADHD, but your life has inexplicably fallen apart when you got older
*Statistically* it’s Autism & probably one or two servings of CPTSD.
You don’t have to take my word for it, ask the thousands of AuDHDers who went through that mindfork too.
