Another year of March Madness: Book Edition. Gr. 2/3 engaged in deep discussions, made tough decisions, became book critics, & even gave persuasive arguments when wiring a paragraph about why they agree or disagree with the results.

Amazing afternoon at our Terry Fox walk! We crushed our goal and enjoyed seeing students and families walking together. Thanks Miss Doucette and Mr. Armstrong for their hard work, and community for their contributions. #GryphonProud@TerryFoxCanada

Gr. 2 made🎈🌎 in social studies to learn about global communities. We love singing our 7 continent song together as a class! There's Internet lag & echos but there are smiles & laughs all round! Trying to bring hands-on activities to remote learning. @dsbn
Virtual Valentine's this year. Grade 2 loved handing out Valentines to their friends. Reading their kind messages is heartwarming! I am one lucky and proud teacher! 🥰 @dsbn#remotelearning
January 18 - Schools are closed again today. Sidewalks and roads are still being cleared due to yesterday’s very heavy snowfall - we did not feel it was safe to open schools at this time.Keep warm and stay safe!
Well friends, it’s a SNOW DAY! Schools are closed. This includes remote learning.
2022 is off to a strange start. We know lots of you were ready to go to school today, but it’s officially a long weekend, so we really hope you enjoy it!

Sharing what we think we know and what we wonder about animals in Gr 2 science today. Always shocked with how many fun facts students know about animals! @dsbn
Happy World Ocean Day! 🌊🐠 Students took a virtual field trip to Monterey Bay Aquarium put together by the amazing primary team at @SchoolPlymouth. We designed posters to bring awareness to the oceans. Then, we watched the sharks being fed LIVE at @RipleysAquaCA@dsbn 🐋
Grade 2/3 had lots of fun playing Among Us - math style today in our meeting. Great communication during the discussions, excellent sleuthing and got to practise some math problems. It was a hit! @SchoolPlymouth@dsbn

In Gr. 2/3, we are exploring questioning. We came up with questions we had BEFORE reading and we did it through our first collaborative Jamboard! We love subitizing as a fun activity during math! Love hearing students' creative and ingenious math thinking 💡
@SchoolPlymouth
Thankful to be taking P/J Mathematics Part 1 with @QueensCTE@QueensEduc. Looking at the diversity of a math classroom was a task that I found very valuable & informative. This by no means is a complete list but some research I've found. Always looking for input to add & improve!
What an unbelievably creative way to turn plastic dividers into something fun and engaging. A fun activity to get to know your students could be to have students design their own bumper stickers 🐴⚽🎨🛹
