people are looking at this and seeing crochet. i’m looking at it and seeing an insane translation problem.

a QR code is basically a visual language, every square has a job. now imagine taking that digital language and converting every relevant part of it into physical stitches, while keeping the proportions, spacing and contrast accurate enough for a camera to understand it. you don’t get to freestyle halfway through. one wrong decision can break the whole thing.

howard gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences explains this because this is clearly more than just “being good with your hands.” there’s spatial intelligence, pattern recognition, mathematical thinking, visual judgment and an absurd amount of patience happening simultaneously.

in a sane country she should be paid simply to let people watch her. her talent is ridiculous.

Wait, do you guys understand how difficult it is to crochet a QR code that actually SCANS?

You can't just look at a QR code and start crocheting. You have to translate that digital pattern into stitches and maintain the exact geometric arrangement of those squares.

There is literally zero room for error. One single misplaced stitch, slightly distorted tension, poor color contrast, or bad spacing, and the whole code is instantly broken. The camera just won't read it.

Yet, she managed to make the final piece look like beautiful crochet AND functional.

This is genuinely impressive work. Go give her all her flowers! 💐
