So there are two different things happening.
The main one that most people are referring to is a PHP vulnerability. PHP is a web programming language that runs on servers and about 70-ish% of the internet uses it. Well there was a major flaw discovered in it that basically goes back to some of its earliest versions that would allow an attacker to take control of the server it is running on.
That in itself would be bad enough, and there was a fix planned, however some jackoffs on the internet broke the embargo and published research information about how to exploit it before the fix was released.
The fix is now available but it will take time for people to update their servers. The larger issue is that many sites are likely running ancient versions of PHP that no longer have support and do not get the patches.
Secondarily seems to be a certificate issue, web certificates are what let websites secure your data when you visit, it's what lets the site show that HTTPS or the little lock icon next to their web address in your browser. Well those certificates have to get issued by a Certificate Authority in order for your browser to trust them, and there are a small handful of CAs.
Apparently there was an Indian-based CA that had a staff member either accidentally or otherwise publish the secret keys used to create those certificates, and it was revealed that some of the secret keys were extremely weak (one was literally just a single digit number '4'). Meaning someone could create fake certificates for sites and they would be trusted.
Kasongo fears seeing any County project succeeding while his national projects fail...
He has shut down Murang'a Governor Kang'atas Afya Ke which was free of charge and forced them to join Taifa Care(SHA) and be paying H.E. Dr. Irungu Kang’ata today issued a public statement on the shutdown, noting that the decision was contrary to an earlier agreement on integrating https://t.co/50nvcgDtGM with the national health system.
Also present were Deputy Governor H.E. Stephen Munania, CECM for Health Dr. Fredrick Mbugua, and Chief Officer for Health Eliud Maina.
Acute MOs are going through viva voce just to secure a job. 😭😂 They’ll ask you to manage a STEMI, DKA, PPH, and status epilepticus back-to-back, then offer you a salary that triggers all four conditions. 💀
@DoctorReign Neither do I refute. But you miss on contents and the intention of the press statement. All caders deserve a seat at the national and county Ebola preparedness and response task forces.
You can flex somewhere else.
