Check out our new article on the defending @CHSAA_NYC A champions, @StJohnsPrepNY, out of Astoria, Queens, as they gear up for a new season. Last season, they finished 25-4 and won their first city championship since 2005 and also won the second annual PSAL vs. CHSAA Champions Challenge and ended up finishing the season rated at No. 10 in the state in the AA classification.

In this article, you hear the story about @SJPCoachKiggins, who is now in his eighth season as the head coach at the school, and their senior guard, Da'Quan "Soul Food" Bryant, a diminutive guard with plenty of heart who is known for holding his own on the court.

This season, the Red Storm has plenty of newcomers including three international players and also three players that came over from the PSAL. They will also be ready to dominate in the CHSAA A division once again, and also will be playing in two events during the Christmas holiday and one game in February against a perennial Queens powerhouse. Caught a “ A “ @CHSAA_NYC battle between St. John’s Prep and Xavier. Xavier made a comeback effort behind the hot shooting of 2026 G Peter Franchock. The backcourt of Daquan Bryant (26) & Rich Fernandez (27) paced SJP. F Myles Perry was a difference maker defensively in the win.
