L’Europe n’a jamais été un paradis généreux. C’est un continent rude, avec des hivers longs, des sols difficiles et des récoltes qui pouvaient manquer d’une année sur l’autre. Pendant des siècles, les Européens ont connu la guerre, la famine, la peste, le froid, la misère.
Beaucoup de ceux qui rejoignent l’Europe aujourd’hui doivent comprendre qu’il n’y a pas eu de miracle, ni de privilège. Le seul privilège blanc, c’est le travail acharné et la discipline.

Think about that: politicians rejected by their own electorates can end up wielding immense influence over the lives of millions of people who never had a direct say in putting them there.....
