@Kristof_Poland This describes a type of person, not "people," and it has a lot to do with social setting. In some places having valuable information implies authority, and displaying it is similar to claiming authority. With enough social status it is allowed, otherwise you are an upstart.
@NathanFowkesArt Incredible. Please do more of these. I used to think that the look you were achieving with digital relied mostly on the medium, but I was mistaken
@RandyWKirk1@michaelevknight In previous systems you are not given a game piece and you are not allowed to watch the game. Also, you are probably one of the things that the players buy and sell.
@StefanMolyneux If he had a twin sister who was effortlessly and unselfconsciously feminine while seeming to have a depth of emotion just out of reach, she would also be considered attractive. It's less mysterious than it seems
@jholtillus Making the mechanics somehow expressive is a mastery of the medium, but ease of interaction is always a priority so we are seeing control styles and menu systems that are getting borrowed or iterating so that they become common and may even sort of dictate the artistic direction
@uncomfybrain@Devon_Eriksen_ Makes sense given that signals related to very basic threats and opportunities were already well-developed on the chemical level. They had to be. The newer interface which includes "intentional" signaling is advantageous but unreliable, demanding the extra step of interpretation.
@theobjectivist You have broadened the context until his point must encompass more than it was intended to. When speaking generally, he does not limit the discussion to violence. This is about the morality of being dangerous specifically, in response to the idea that it is somehow wrong.
@Travos @ElonogyX@ReneeNey019 That's based on the assumption that the product would be designed terribly after years of testing. Also, even within the visual range, sensitivity can be high enough to eliminate darkness in natural environments, so frequency is not even the problem in your scenario
